No. Asking is free and always open. You only need points once I've set a price, and even then other people can help pay for it.

Public requests appear on this board, so anyone can contribute points towards them, which usually means they get funded much faster. Since the whole community can chip in, I price them a bit higher (around one and a half times the solo price). Private requests are only visible to you and me, so you fund them entirely yourself at the lower solo price. They still show up on the board as an anonymous slot in the queue, just with the details hidden. Both are free to post, and you can switch until someone else has put points in: once that happens, the request stays public until they take them back.

Once a request passes its goal, every extra chunk of points raises its priority level and moves it up the queue ahead of other funded requests. It's the way to push something you really want to the front.

I work on them one at a time, always picking the first at the top, so funded requests form a queue. You can see the whole queue on this page, and I post WIPs on your request's page once I start drawing it.

Private requests show up in the queue too, just with the details hidden, so the queue you see here is the whole queue.

Yes, anything outside my content guidelines (extreme violence, gore, hateful content) I'll turn down. If I decline a request, everyone who contributed gets 100% of their points back.
